1. Who are you?
I’m Vincent Koreman aka Drvg Cvltvre.
2. What do you do?
I make dark and doomy techno music with acid and no wave/punk influences and run a small record label called New York Haunted.
3. Where do you often create/produce?

Usually in the early evening, when I get home from work and after dinner, so usually between 8 and 10 pm.
5. Why do you play music?
I think music is a form of communication that transcends written and spoken word. I try to communicate via a mix of emotions in my tracks that I guide towards you.
6. When did you start making music?
Started making music when I was 14, the year was 1986. I played in a punk band called Crisis. It still is a very appropriate band name I think.
7. Which track defines you the most?
That changes with my mood, but I still get chills when I play https://pinkman.bandcamp.com/track/into-the-endless-night in a set somewhere, so it touches my nerve endings in some way.

10. What influences your work?
Everything of anything really, can be a line of a novel, or a quote on tv or a car passing by playing some tune really loud. Small triggers inspire me to start working.
11. What’s your academic background? Are you an autodidact?
I’n trained as a visual artist and am trained as a teacher in the visual arts. I’ve had some guitar lessons when I was young, but everything after that is self taught.

Right now: The Idiot by Dostojevski.

Right now: The Rear Window by Hitchcock
15. Favorite music label?
Right now: Aancient Vvars.
16. Your dream collaboration?
Me, Dj Premier, Martin Rev & Moodymann on production, Marshall Allen, Alex Lifeson and Tyondai Braxton playing, Q Tip, Common and Leviathan on vocals.
17. Are you analog or digital?
Both, I use a lot of analog stuff, but also cubase and even phone apps to make music. I don’t care where it comes from, as long as it gets the job done..
18. Which soft wares/tools/ instruments do you use/play? !
I play guitar, bass, keyboards and scream.
19. Describe your creative process?
I sit down, fire up the computer or some analog gear and start recreating the sound I hear in my head. I don’t stop until I have it or feel I am as close as possible.
20. When are you the most prolific (creatively)?

My local record shops Antenna and Sounds are great. Virtually I like Clone.nl and Boomkat.com
22. What’s your life philosophy? (Optimistic/pessimistic)
Life is too short to be significant. History is dictated by the ones left standing.
Nuance is losing to stupidity.
