James Hoff, conceptual artist based in NewYork, just released via the imprint PAN his new track “Erblast” (from his new experimental album “Blaster”), which consists of exploring computer viruses within the composition process.
We found this track very interesting. It’s fascinating to see how viruses can affect a sound and create a whole new ambiguous atmosphere. Besides, we liked how this track showcases a neat correlation between data and noise and how it embodies transparency in the process by transforming a negative aspect of digitalization into a work of art. This recycling process is inspiring and made us thinking of new experiments we might explore in the future..
